Two killed, French Construction Worker Abducted by Gunmen in Katsina

 Gunmen numbering about 30, late Wednesday stormed the residence of expatriate workers and engineers of French company Vergnet, in Rimi area near Katsina in North-West Nigeria and abducted a French citizen and killing two persons.

According to report, the abducted engineer, name with held, a French citizen, had just returned to Nigeria from a trip when he was abducted from his residence.

Vergnet, an alternative energy providing company, is working on a wind power project in Katsina where the incindent took place. The 

The incident was confirmed to Agence France Presse, by Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Magaji who also confirmed that a security guard and a neigbour were shot dead in the attack.
