Nollywood Losses Enebeli Elebuwa

The Nigerian movie industry popularly known as Nollywood lost one of its veteran Actors Enebeli Elebuwa to death last night in a hospital in New Delhi India.    The Nigerian prolific actor has about one hundred and thirty movies to his credit. Enebeli Enebuwa who starred in the “Andrew wan check out” adverts in the 80’s, a Delta State indigene is one of the most recognizable and respected faces in the ever growing Nollywood and on the African continent as a whole. May his soul rest in peace… Amen

Flood Send Man To Grave In Kwara

The residents of Akerebiata, Ilorin Kwara state were thrown into confusion and mourning on Tuesday night 18 th September 2012 when the news of the death of Mr. Kehinde Ajongolo was announced. 65 years old Mr. kehinde Ajongolo, a building materials dealer, was swept into the river by flood following a heavy downpour on his way home. The heavy rain, which lasted for about two (2) and half hours, flooded many parts of the metropolis, cutting off the link road between Sobi Barracks and the adjourning communities around Akerebiata. The deceased relative Mr. Isa Ajongolo confirmed to journalist in Ilorin that he spoke with his uncle on phone few minutes before the rain and never knew that will be his far speech to him. A search party was organized when his efforts to reach his uncle on phone proved abortive. Blood Flow In Ogun State

Sorrow, tears and blood filled the air at Mobalufun junction in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State when a truck loaded with flour rammed into a commuter bus heading to Lagos kill all the passengers on the spot. About thirty (30) persons were feared dead in the auto crash. The incident happened on Tuesday 11 th September 2012. According to a report in the Vanguard, traders and some commuters standing by the road side, all were victims of the auto crash. Some of these commuters sustained serious injuries from the crash. The injured according to a source are receiving treatment at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital Sagamu and General Hospital Ijebu-Ode. As at 0800hrs on the fateful day, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Police and the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) were seen on the scene of the accident evacuating dead bodies.

Ola Vincent, ex-CBN governor, Passes On at 87

The death of Mr. Ola Vincent a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has been announced. Vincent, who was born on May 16, 1925, died on Monday at the age of 87. He was the CBN Governor from 1977 to 1982. He died at Saint Vincent Hospital Lagos after an illness. He is survived by a wife, three sons and a daughter. May his soul rest in peace.
