India: Two Nigerians Nabbed With Stolen Debit Cards
Two
Nigerians were nabbed with a stolen debit card as they were trying to buy
jewelry in a jewelry shop in Bangalore the capital city of Indian state of
Karmanataka.
The incident
according to report, took place at Nayarathna Jewelry Shop next to KFC, on MG
road. According to Indian Police, a few Nigerians entered the jewelry shop at
about 3pm and bought two gold rings worth Rs 1 lakh and presented the debit
card for payment. The store’s payment system received a message that the card
was blocked because the owner lost it a few days back when the cashier swiped
the debit card.
The cashier
became suspicious and informed the Cubbon Park police who swift immediately
into action. Two out of Nigerians that went into the shop were caught. They are
simply identified as Fudi and Olabode. The Police are still trying to get the
rest of them as they resort to the CCTV footage of the jewelry store.
