Governor Sule Lamido's Son Arrested With N6.3million At Airport

Governor Sule Lamido was arrested with undeclared N6.3 million at Malam Aminu
Kano International Airport Kano on Tuesday night, the EFCC said yesterday. This
amount is equivalent to US dollars $50,000.
Aminu Sule Lamido, 34, was arrested
with $40,000 cash which he did not disclose in the Customs currency declaration
form.
He declared only $10,000 to the
Customs who let him pass. However, he was later intercepted along the way to
the boarding area by a task force of the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC) who found the additional money on him, as reported in the
Daily Trust.
The 2010 graduate of Mass Communication from Bayero University
Kano was picked up by the operatives of EFCC at about 11:15pm local time on
Tuesday night, on his way to board a flight to Cairo Egypt.
According to Daily Trust, he was
taken into custody at the EFCC Kano Zonal office near the state hajj camp.
