Dana Air Operation License Withdrawn
Once again the certificate of operation Dana
Air has been temporary withdrawn by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Dana airline
operations were first grounded in June 3 2012, after the crash of one of their
planes in Iju Ishaga, Lagos. But the ban was lifted on Thursday January 3,
after the airline completed the re-certification process by the Federal Government.
According Dana Air, the Federal
Government did not tell them the reason for the suspended. However it could be
recalled that there have been repeated calls by the National Assembly sometime
in the recent past that Dana's airline license be suspended until
investigations into its aircraft that crashed June 3, 2013 killing 153 people
onboard and some 10 others on ground, are concluded.
However, a meeting is scheduled
between the management of Dana Air, the Ministry of Aviation and the NCAA today,
Monday March 18 to discuss the way forward.
