Ban On DANA Air Lifted
The federal government yesterday cleared Dana Airline to resume operations. This is coming ninety eight days after the airline plane crash that killed about153 persons in Lagos. According to the statement made by Mr. Joe Obi the Special Adviser (Media) to the minister of aviation, the government restored the operating license of Dana Airline as it was satisfied with the air worthiness of the airline after conducting a rigorous technical, operational and financial audit of the airline. This has generated a mixed reaction among concerned Nigerians. Some believe it is not yet time to lift the suspension, questioning the rationale behind the lifting of the ban on the airline, especially as most of the families of the people involved in the plan crash are yet to be compensated.
