Morocco 2013: Golden Eaglets 6 Vs 1 Ghana

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria defeated the Ghana starlets in the opening match of the CAF Under-17 championship 6 - 1.

Four goals from Isaac Success and one each from Bernard Bulbwa and Kelechi Iheanacho gave the Eaglets a resounding victory over the Black Starlets.

“Nigeria surprised us tonight, they were far better than we had expected and outplayed us. We did not see this heavy defeat coming at all and not only were the Nigerians good but they were stronger too. “said the Starlet coach.

The Starlets of Ghana, who were rated co-favourites with Nigeria, are now hoping to regroup ahead of their second group game against Congo, who drew 1-1 with Ivory Coast.
